Have you wondered what the difference is between the role of a Production Manager and a Producer? Or even compared to a Stage Manager?
Join Melissa Teoh in this introductory workshop to Production Management in the performing arts highlighting the process from page to stage. Participants will be exposed to the structures, systems and processes of the various departments in a production encompassing the creative, technical and administrative teams; and will learn how to implement effective management skills on a production.
The workshop will also explore management and budgetary processes for different genres and types of productions.

Trainer Bio:
Melissa spent a decade in Los Angeles as a production/stage manager, scenic designer and worked in venue operations before relocating home to Malaysia. She has managed a myriad of productions internationally, including musicals, operas, plays, festivals, and concerts in South East Asia, USA, Australia and Edinburgh.
Melissa's scenic designs have garnered nominations and recognition at the LA Weekly, NAACP and Garland Awards in the USA. In recent years, she has embarked on producing theatrical and film works. Selected credits include P. Ramlee The Musical, D'State of D'Nation, Nadirah (Festival Tokyo 2016), Gold Rain & Hailstones, and the film Dendam Pontianak which will be released in 2019.
Melissa is an ensemble member of Furious Theatre Company, former Resident Artists at The Pasadena Playhouse, State Theatre of California and an Associate with Cake Theatrical Productions [SG] and Dama Asia Productions [MY].
